Lotus Exige – Rear Wing Retrofit

Our customer aimed to enhance their Lotus Exige's performance by installing an Audi R8 rear wing. However, the mounting points didn't align, making a direct swap unfeasible.

We conducted a precise 3D scan of the Exige's rear end and the R8 wing. Utilizing CAD software, we designed custom brackets ensuring a perfect fit. The result: a seamless integration that boosts downforce without compromising aesthetics.

Bringing American Classics to Aussie Roads

American classics are growing in popularity across Australia, but converting them from LHD to RHD can be tricky—especially when interior components aren’t symmetrical.

A customer came to Racing Display to convert his 1965 Ford Falcon. The dash bezel and instrument cluster couldn’t be mirrored directly due to integrated text and asymmetrical design. Using our laser scanner, we captured the original parts in high detail, then rebuilt them as editable CAD models with Geomagic Design X and SolidWorks.

The result; A factory-style right-hand-drive conversion with perfectly aligned, mirrored components. With modern 3D scanning and CAD tools, transforming American classics for Aussie roads is now faster and more affordable than ever.

Heavy Duty Brake Upgrade

Our customer wanted to add a second brake caliper but wasn’t sure how to mount it. We 3D scanned and reverse-engineered the full brake assembly, then designed new brackets to mount both calipers. Since the original rotor no longer fit, we also designed a new one to suit the updated setup.

Electric Handbrake Conversion

Our customer wanted to upgrade to an electric handbrake and needed a custom insert to mount the switch seamlessly into the factory centre console.

We 3D scanned the console and switch, then designed an insert with contours that match the original trim—ensuring a clean, OEM-style appearance.
